Fort William Highland Campsites
Wild camping is allowed most places but due to car drivers leaving rubbish it is not allowed near the road at Loch Lomond in summer.
Wishingwell Farmhouse campsite, Gartness and Drymen Farm campsite are both closed.(according to Google Maps)
Shops at Balmaha, Loch Lomond.
There are some campsites besides Loch Lomond. Salachy Campsite is £5 which is the cheapest. Nevertheless campsite prior to it really is £7 and has now much better facilities, including showers.
Rowchoish Bothy - great bothy well worth using.
Doune Bothy - very poor condition, saturated in rubbish, avoid using.
Beinglas Farm is a great campsite with a restaurant with food and alcohol.
At Tyndrum is a store. Check the rates when buying, particularly the fresh fruit. Ensure you get a receipt.
There is a tiny shop on Strathfillan Wigwams Campsite. I got myself a snack here (but didn't remain).
There is certainly an allowed wild camping from the north side of the bridge on Bridge of Orchy but being close to the road had noisy individuals. The resort has a restaurant and club.
The course passes the Inveroran resort, food and alcohol. Crazy camping.
Kinlochleven - Features good Coop Supermarket. We stayed at Macdonald Hotel's camp-site. Great and low priced.
Fort William - Has a large supermarket. Backstreet Hostel, best for town centre. Calluna Hostel - additional away but quite nicer.
