It’s summer time (almost!) and as we all wait for the weather to get a little warmer, we thought we’d share some of our favourite things to do, see and experience. Our ‘top 5’ are typical within reach for the Isles of Glencoe Hotel however, if we’ve missed one of the favourites, why not reveal on Facebook? 1. Travel regarding the Hogwarts Express

2. Place certainly one of Europe’s tallest trees

Take a stroll amongst champions in the Ardkinglas home and explore some of the tallest and largest woods in Europe. From 140 year-old Abies Grandis (once Britain’s tallest tree) which appears at a large 64.28m, to ‘the mightiest conifer in European countries’ an amazing European Silver Fir (Abies Alba) with a girth of nearly ten meters.

After searching for one style of giant, why end there…. just take a walk inside deep dark wood and possibly you’ll discover Gruffalo!

Every Friday between April and October, you can easily join a tour regarding the magnificent Ardkinglas home; regarded as the designer Sir Robert Lorimer’s work of art.

3. Check out the niftiest swing in Scotland

Perhaps not your standard yard move, oh no. We’re referring to Scotland’s reply to bungee bouncing. It requires jumping-off the connection of Orchy, free falling, swinging in connection and then being gathered by a funyak (yes, it’s a thing). Popular with thrill seekers, it is recommended do for everyone searching for an adrenaline buzz!

4. Make a splash on a paddle board trip

SUP signifies stand-up paddle boarding; maybe not a ‘cool individuals’ greeting! It’s anything you need to encounter come early july if you are residing in Glencoe.
